BHS golfers put together two good tournaments to start the season

The Bryant High School golf team got its season started with tournaments in Jonesboro on Tuesday and at Conway on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, senior Peyton Weaver shot a 77 to earn medalist honors at the Jonesboro tourney. The Lady Hornets finished second overall.
For the boys, Drew Castleberry fired a round of 74 to tie for second overall individually. The Hornets were third as a team.
At Conway, Weaver cared a 76 to again take individual honors as the Lady Hornets finished second in a nine-team field.
Chase Thornton paced the Hornets with a round of 77. The team finished fourth.
Both teams are scheduled to play at North Hills Country Club in Sherwood on Friday.
