A $1 million hole in one “shootout” is coming back to the Bryant Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament sponsored by Landers Auto Group of Saline County on Thursday, July 1, at Longhills Golf Course in Benton.[more]
After the scramble portion of the golf tournament is completed all interested participants will go to the eighth hole, where the opportunity for the $1 million hole-in-one will occur. Five participants’ names will be pulled at random and all five will get one shot.
Funds from the tournament will go to the Bryant Chamber of Commerce operations and will help to fund the Chamber office building facelift if a certain goal is met.
“Our building campaign is to update a building that is 15 years old this year,” noted Golf chairman Clint Walker of Summit Bank. “We want everyone to know how they are contributing to the growth of this community by supporting the Bryant Area Chamber of Commerce tournament."
Golfers can help by registering for the four-person scramble at Longhills Golf Course. Registrants can contact the Chamber or the golf course for the registration forms. Fees for the four-person team are $340. Mulligans can be purchased for $10 each, one per team member. Registration can be achieved online with the new ChamberMaster software at the Bryant Area Chamber’s website www.Bryant-ar.com.
Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. First Security Bank will grill hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch. The shotgun start is at 1 p.m.
Hole sponsors are also sought. Anyone — businesses, individuals, political candidates, etc. – wanting to sponsor a hole for $100, will need to let the Chamber know so a sponsor sign can be created and placed on the course.
